About Us

WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO

Mackenzie Health Volunteer Association is a self-governed organization that provides support for volunteers and fundraisers for the hospital.  Our members play a vital role in the Mackenzie Health community, contributing more than 90,000 hours of service a year in support of the hospital’s staff, patients, and their families.

The Mackenzie Health Volunteer Association was established in 1962 by a group of women who shared the dream of having a community hospital,  Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital.  Their dream continues today as Mackenzie Health is evolving to a two-hospital model.

The Mackenzie Health Volunteer Association operates the White Rose Gift Shop.  The gift shop helps raise a significant source of donation revenue that has contributed to the acquisition of a new MRI machine and improvements in the Intensive Care, Neonatal Intensive Care and Mental Health units.
